Join us for the MCM holiday party, the presentation of MCM Awards and a special presentation by Max Buffington, “The History and Artifacts of the Daniels area and the Old Mainline Trail”. Max is a volunteer ranger with Patapsco State Park The party and meeting is from 2:30 – 5:00 at The Hawthorn Center, 6175 Sunny Spring, Columbia. Schedule: 2:30 -3:30 Social Hour, 3:30 – 4:00 MCM Updates and Award presentation, 4:00 – 4:45 Special Presentation and Q & A.
No RSVP is required but a few volunteers for setup and cleanup are needed; to volunteer, contact Lmarcuse100@gmail.com
Please bring a “finger food” dessert or appetizer to share with a serving utensil, if needed. Finger foods are items that can be picked up and eaten without a fork and, possibly, consider bringing a plate to reduce our use of disposable items.
Please bring new warm gloves or socks! Please bring gloves or socks to donate to the homeless or drop a few dollars in the sock box and we’ll do the shopping.
DIRECTIONS:
From Baltimore: South on US 29 to Exit 18, Broken Land Parkway. Keep left at fork, follow signs for Broken Land Parkway West. Use any lanes to turn left onto Broken Land Parkway. In 1.1 miles, use left two lanes to turn left onto Hickory Ridge Road (traffic light). Drive one mile; turn left at Sunny Spring (traffic light). Hawthorn Center is 1 ½ blocks on the left.
From Route 32: Take Exit 17. Head north on Cedar Lane. Turn right at Owen Brown Road (traffic light). Turn left at Sunny Spring. Hawthorn Center is 2/3 mile on the right. From I-95: Take MD 32 West four miles and then follow directions above for MD 32.
