This out and back hike travels north from Gathland State Park on the A.T. to White Rock overlook and on to lunch at Rocky Run Shelter, then returns. There are two very long uphill sections, one in the morning and one after lunch. Total elevation gain is about 2000 ft. Our pace while hiking will average 2.5-2.7 MPH.
