An out and back hike of 12 miles going south from Wolfsville Road (MD-17) to Annapolis Rocks on the Appalachian Trail. Total elevation gain is 700′ with the longest climb of 500′ over 2.5 miles. Very rocky in places, no significant stream crossings. Pace averages 2.5 MPH.
This 10+ mile hike in Montgomery County starts from Sugarloaf ’s East parking lot. There is approximately 2000 ft of elevation gain with some very rocky sections of trail. The hiking pace will be 2.5 – 3 mph. Lunch will be at White Rocks Overlook. L
An out and back hike of a total of about 11.5 miles going north from Gathland State Park to the Rocky Run Shelter and return. Total elevation gain is 1600' with the longest climb of 750' over about 1.5 miles. Pace averages 2.5 – 3.0 miles per hour. When registering please indicate "Carpool" or "Trailhead".
