An out and back hike of 12 miles going south from Wolfsville Road (MD-17) to Annapolis Rocks on the Appalachian Trail. Total elevation gain is 700′ with the longest climb of 500′ over 2.5 miles. Very rocky in places, no significant stream crossings. Pace averages 2.5 MPH.
An out and back hike of a total of 11.2 miles going south from Gathland State Park to Weverton Cliffs overlook. Total elevation gain is 1800 ft. Our pace while hiking will average 2.0-2.5 MPH.
We will hike 7 miles at a moderate pace on Hashawha and Union Mills trails. Elevation gain is approximately 600 feet. Meet at the Bear Branch Nature Center at 9:30am.
