This is the second of a perimeter circuit hike series in Patapsco Valley State Park. There are numerous hills and three stream crossings. The hiking pace will be 2-2.5 mph.
HIKE: Patapsco Valley State Park, / Grist Mill Trail / Lost Lake, 5.5 Miles, walk to the second Swinging Bridge. Very easy all paved trail and awesome views along the way. This paved pathway runs parallel to Patapsco River that provides scenic views leading past numerous sites of historic interest.

This 11-12 mile loop hike in Frederick County will depart from Hamburg Rd. will take place partly on the Catoctin Trail and partly on other trails and paths that network this forest. Our pace while hiking will be 2.5 - 2.73 mph. Please indicate whether you plan to meet at the trailhead or carpool.
