This hike starts at the Woodstock Road parking area next to the bridge, then follows trails north of Woodstock Road on the Howard County side of PVSP. Total ascent will be about 800 feet. Because there is limited parking, the hike will be limited to 18 participants.

Hike 11.0 miles out and back on the Appalachian Trail from the south end of the US-340 Shenandoah River Bridge at Harpers Ferry to WV-9. Some rocky sections, about 1800 feet of climbing no stream crossings. Our pace while hiking will average 2.5 – 3.0 mph.  When registering please indicate "Carpool" or "Trailhead".
