This hike follows the South Branch Patapsco River on the Carroll County side from Freedom Park in Sykesville to the McKeldin area of PVSP. Our pace while hiking will be about 2.5 mph. There is about 1000 ft of elevation change and a few minor stream crossings.
Expect to hike on 5 colors plus an unmarked route and Baisans Run. Numerous stream crossings, hilly terrain, 900' of elevation gain. Poles recommended. Lunch/snack break. E-mail to register and for pre-registration questions. Call or text cell on hike day only (443) 841-8488.
